Celebration of life for Jean F. Aurelien Sunrise November 11th 1937 Sunset December 2nd 2017 viewing service held at Caribe Funeral Home in 1922 Utica avenue Brooklyn New York.

Jean Aurelien was born in Petit-Goave, Haiti to Joseph Elmonfils Aurelien and Jeanne Charlemagne. He was the eldest of nine children and is survive by seven children. Jean leaves behind his partner, Rose Marie Dagobert, who came along to render his children “a big favo” by taking care of him during his final years.

Though Jean was a theatrical performer, his true passion was soccer. He played soccer as a young man in Haiti for the team Aigle Noir. Given that his natural talent was not on the soccer field, after two years on the team, he became a coach for upcoming young athletes instead. The founder of Aigle Noir, Joe Volcy, appointed him as the treasurer of the organization. Jean has been affiliated with Aigle Noir nearly ever since his appointment as Treasurer back in 1950.

Jean Later moved to Canada and founded his own soccer organization, “Equipe 17.” After the passing of his wife, Malene, Jean Moved to New York. Jean is remembered as a great man, a loving father, a proud grand-father and a caring friend. Those who knew him described him as funny, generous and kind.

The family of Jean F. Aurelien wishes to express their sincere gratitude for your everwhelming support. Your Sympathetic words of consolation and their gracious expressions of love during this time of inexplicable grief, please know that your kind thoughts and continued prayers have served to medicate their hearts and anesthetize their pain.
